Probly to keep the body from twisting too much and lifting pressure off the left rear tire, But I dont think youd have to worry about too much body flex without some serious mods, but theres probly another reason if roundman said to do it.

wtf: are you retared i just changed from chevys ..back to ford ..just because i happend to like mustangs...and last time i checked the lt1, ls6 and ls6 are still small block chevys..and if i am not mistaeing are also 350 cubic inches

that is a big wrong buddy, learn some more. LS1 is a 346 aluminum block motor. it reads 5.7 but is only 346, i have a 5.3 gen III motor which reads 325, 4.8 is a gen III motor 292 and the last 6.0 gen III is 368

the LT1 is based of the gen I motors. only difference between the LT1 and gen I motors is they have reversed cooling

really..than if we wants to get right down to it ..than a forsd 302 is not 302 cubic inches...but the chevys are still called the small block chevy man...

actually a 302 is a 4.9 not a 5.0 but ford already had a 4.9 listed so they rounded up. a LS1 is not 350. you stated a 350 and alot of 350s are jokes. no one says they got a 350 in their C5 or their 98 and up Fbody
