I dont want to lie and tell you a number that I dont know for sure is accurate... but I believe that it is at 12 or 13 degrees BTC. Stock was 6 degrees BTC with 10.5:1 pistons. Motor is a 396 rated at 425HP (yeah right).

Cadillac northstar motors run 11.5:1 on premium gas only. We have a chevelle that has 12.5:1 dome top pistons and runs on pump gas (91 or 93 octane). You can always adjust your timing and get rid of detonation.

how can you have more than 11:1 and still be pump gas friendly?
what is the timing set at in ur chevelle?
