Default clutch

hey guys I was talking to my friends dad about my clutch on the car and he said that it sounded there was something wrong with it...he said it is really hard to press down and they wouldn't make a car where you are killing your leg on the clutch...so he said that something with my cable might be wronge...either it is seized or needs adjusting...what do you guys say it is? or is that how a mustang clutch is? im not sure if it has been changed by the previous owner or not...thanks

Default RE: clutch

our clutches are stiffer than most because they are cable operated, the guy you talked to is probably used to hydraulic clutches.
but, it shouldn't be like, wicked hard. when i first bought my stang, my left leg hurt for about two days, but you get used to it.
if there is something wrong, it could be anything related to the clutch. could be the cable, could be the pressure plate, could be a bent fork.
does it grab good?
