Stop an oil leak
Hello, I have a 95 Mustang Gt. My oil pan gasket leaks, and i am not to much of a mechanic to change it, i took it to the shop they told me 300 dollars to do it. While i was at Walmart i saw stop and oil leak thing, that you put in your oil and is guranteed to stop your oil leak, would this be an ok thing to do to your engine or would it gunk something up, and then i would end up paying more than the 300 to fix it in the first place? Let me know thanks

RE: Stop an oil leak
that **** is the worst, if you really wanted to be lazy just use a little thicker oil, it might slow it down a bit, but i would never use anything like that, it just makes it worse in the long run, if you cant do it yourself, and cant find cheaper, i'd pay the 300
