Adder, are you always such a dick?
The accepted ratios for powertrain loss that I have always heard of and used are 25% for an automatic and 15% for a manual. Using those numbers, my 257 translates to 342 crank horsepower. Coincidentally, that's within two horsepower of the FRPP crate motor that uses the parts I have on mine, so I'm pretty confident that my hp number is good. Now, if you remember your4th grade arithmetic, take 15% off of 342 and what do you get? 291.266666666.
Any questions?

I can't remember what the tool's name was, but I think that he hadthe FRPP GT-40 (or whatever it's called) crate motor and was only pumping out like 250 rwhp (untuned mind you) through a T-5. The difference in horsepower (on your combo) isn't worth 40 horsepower between the AOD and T-5 unless you've got a slipping tranny and a****ed up torque converter.

if all he has is those mods.. I dont see no way hes got350rwhp at all no where close.... I had a friend one time that said he probably had 300rwhp in his 94 gt... all he had was underdrive pulleys, off road hpipe and flows... i just let him believe what he wanted.... never hurts anything...

Even with 18% loss on the hatch, that's still 735hp on pump gas with 327", 13psi, Twisted Wedge heads and a Performer RPM intake. Not bad. Come to think of it... 428/567 with an 18% loss is 523hp 692tq on a stock shortblock, E7s and a 175 shot.

We dynoed a dudes 92 gt with a stick in my hot rod class at school once. On the dynojet dyno it made 280 horse and 320 torque at 5500 rpm or so. He had a fresh short block, the gt40x heads (which are the gt40's cast in aluminum right?), an f cam, and a cai. The 5 speed was also new. This car was beautiful by the way, i wish i had a picture of it. All this was with the stock tune as well. Oh he had long tubes and an x pipe too.
