Default not running right?

hey guys just got gt40 intake and heads installed on my car, and it seems to lag and not want to go anywhere until it hits about 3500 rpm. big lack of power over stock down low, when u punch it...the car hesitates and just sounds loud but doesnt get up. the maf and t/b still need to be changed out and they are still stock...could this be the problem? any other suggestions

thumper gt40 heads and gt40 intake, yeah stock cam stock maf and stock t/b. but its not jsut a lack of power, i mean theres no power at all down low and it hesitiates. even while you floor it the rpms barely move, but once they get up to about 3000-3500 or so they fly up 6000.

Are you running pedestal mount or stud mount roller rockers?

Well they should be pedestal mount.... They should have been torqued down to 20lbs...The mass air is unlikely the problem... Larger ones would help a little, but they won't solve that problem... Does the engine idle fine? No vacuum leaks or anything?

engine idles fine, it wasidling a lil high and the timing was adjusted and now it idles right under 1000 rpm like always. if i rev the rpm slowly it sound fine, but if i rev them up quick everything seems to hesistate and bog down and sound like somethins choking and its rough. and when driving its ok but when you give it some gas it just sounds louder than usual and ****ty and wont go anywher...rpms move slow and it wont pick up...but once it gets over about 3500 rpm theres good power.
