Default Design Concepts...

Anybody ever heard of or had any dealings with a company called Design Concepts??? I know of Classic Design Concepts, but not these guys. They have an advertisement in 5.0 Mustang Magazine, so I thought they should be pretty reputable...? I'm trying to find the best quality hood (cobra r)I can get for around their price ($289.00). Cervinis may make the best, but I refuse to pay nearly $500.00 for a freaking fiberglass hood. Absolutely rediculous. If anybody would please comment on some other companies, that you have personally dealt with and have their hood on your car, please do so. I have been looking at Champion Fiberglass Products and HO Fibertrends. Champion is the best priced, but I don't want quality to suffer too bad. I am not looking for the best quality, just something that will lookfine to about 90-95% of people who see it. And to those about to comment on doing a search: I did, and did not find sufficient information to come to a reasonable conclusion on who to buy my hood from. I want specifics: fitment, prep work, and overall rating of the product. Thanks in advance guys!

actually i bought a 2.5" cowl from them for my old 93 gt. fit really well. the only thing that sucked was i had to cut out the vents at the back of the hood myself. wasnt too bad though. and the underside isnt "finished" like the cervinis.

but for my next hood ill be gettin one from harwood

You get what you pay for.

My expensive Harwood came finished and gel-coated on BOTH
sides, top and bottom, the back holes were pre-cut and and mesh screens pre-installed.

NOTHING is free, buy a cheap product, get a cheap product.

I understand buying a cheap product and not expecting too much out of it. But come on. Cervini's is over $200.00 more than their leading competitor, and it's going to be THAT much better? I don't think so. I think Cervini's knows they make a great product, even possibly the best one out there, and they take advantage of it. A good body shop should be able to make my Champion Fiberglass Products hood fit and look just as good as any Cervini's out there. May take a little more prep work, but not anywhere near $200 worth!!! I can't make too many statements yet, as I just have ordered my hood. But I will honestly let you all know how good the hood is, how good it fits, and all of the above. I just can't believe Cervini's is worth nearly double price until I see it for myself.
