Ok so the stock gear isnt really doin it for me, so I wanna get a new one. What would be good all around gear? Ive got 5.0 with t5. Ive got light mods: CAI,gt-40 intake, 75mm maf, A/C delete, MSD ignition. I want a gear that will be good with the mods I plan on doing in the future: Twisted wedge heads, trick flow b31 cam,underdrive pullies, shorty headers, x-pipe, throttle body, etc, basically all the bolt on's. I do plan on doin a supercharger, probably a novi-1000 or s-trim. So I want a gear that will work good with all of these mods. the car will be mostly street but will see its fair share of track time. My friend said I should go with a 3.73 or a 4.10 but want some more input. So let me know. thanks

Which gear might you be looking for? Distributor gear? Reverse gear? Planetary gear for your 4wd system?
Can't go wrong with 3.73's, IMO. You'll hear that from most people.


..unless it's an MSD, then you'll definitely want a 4.56 dist gear [8D]

if you dont care about gas milage and a little extra wear 4.10 FTW youll lvoe them

3.73 with 5 speed and 4.10 with automatic seems to be the rule of thumb. if you want to be different, get 3.90 from motive.
