size of bored 302
does anyone know whatsize a302 bored: .030, .040. 060 over is? how many cubic inches will be gained? also is there a formula to calculate this? thanx

I know that .030 over is a 306. I used to know the formula for calculating CI's by heart but I have forgot, try and google it.

dont go more than .030 on the 302. if you need more cubes you can stroke it to a 331 or a 347.

you dont bore a motor to gain cubes anyway

.040 over is a 308, .060 over is a 310, the motor in my car is bored .040 over and it hasnt given any problems

Generally, ona stock 5.0 block, you don't go more than .030 over or you increase the chances of overheating and other issues.

mine was also bored .40 over and didn't see any issuses. my car actually ran cooler when i stroked it to a 349 with the same cooling system
