I got some AFR 165s for mine, I'd rather buy some aluminum heads and sell the stock GT40s insetad of having the stock ones ported, but it's all what you want

while aftermarket heads will make more power than ford castings (and alot easier) theres still something to be said about building HP using ford castings. i dunno maybe im old fashioned or whatever, but just "bolting on" the extra HP is just too damn easy

oh yeah, and Cleveland heads FTW anyways [8D]

A set of Well Ported GT-40's can flow VERY impressive numbers. I would save the $1300 for the aluminum heads and put it somewhere else. The potential is already there. Just my .02.

Word. I would sell the GT40 heads and use that money for some aluminum heads and a better cam.
