i put restore in this toyota pickup with 300k on it, it smoked up a quart a week, no it hardley burns oil, but wont last long i bet

I've used Restore Oil Treatment before and got good results with it. if rings are really badly worn, you might need to use it every other oil change until you finally decide to rebuild the engine though.

not a ring it would be filling the chambers and fouling the plugs, blue smoke is oil alright but your plugs must be running hot enough to burn it off, should burn blue on start up befor the ring seat.

good call gary, thats what i was thinking. i pulled the plugs and they look like they are burning perfectly clean, no black residue at all. plus, it doesn't smoke on start up even when its 40 degrees outside. some local mustang guy told me it was the rings but i had been thinking it must be something else. anyway, the car had only been driven 5k in the last 5 years so it sat a lot. now it's daily so i'm sure im burning/cleaning out a lot of crud. someone else said valve seals? maybe makes sense cuz it was doing in only at high rpms.
