Default Nitrous help????

I just bought a ZEX dry nitrous kit for my 1990 mustang gt. It has a 347 stroker in it all built up aluminum heads the whole thing no expense spared. So my question is, is it ok or not ok to run this nitrous kit on this motor and what should i watch out for. Anything special i need to do when installing it? I just dont want to blow my motor up i think im going to only be running it as a 50 shot at least for awhile. Any input and help or experience with using nitrous on these motors would be great thanks.

I would think you would be safer with a wet kit, sounds like you may have already upgraded your fuel system. 50 shot will not be too bad, but I wouldnt push past 100. Also retard your timing 2 degrees for every 50 shot you use. How hard to you want to push it?

Don't forget, you'll need colder plugs also. Nitrious isn't as bad as what people think. Its just like any other power adder, as long as you have the right tune, your motor is safe. I think the main things to look over if your going to use nitrious is, like the guys above this post said, retard the timing, make sure you have enough fuel flow (big enough fuel pump), and a good set of plugs. I've beenusing nitrious for a few years now. I think after you use that 50 shot a few times you'll want to feel what a 75 shot can do, then 100 shot, etc. etc. Thats when people run into problems. Just don't over do what your motor is capable of handling.

zex kits have a lowest setting of 75hp.

and a 150 shot is safe on a stock motor, I ran stock plugs, 14 degrees of timing and a 125 shot.
the zex dry kit is the easiest to install

have fun and dont worry too much,
I tried to blow my motor last year with the 125 shot, it didnt work.

You need atleast a 190lph pump. DO NOT try the zex with out knowing for sure you have a bigger pump. Stock pumps haveFORD stamped on the side. I've ran 150hp shot wet NX several times themain things you need is big pump, and timing (mine set at 12* with150shot). I ran NGK ur5 plugs gapped at .035 and that worked good for me. If when you areon the button, and you here any pinging whatsoever STOP back the timing off a bit more. The first thing you need to do IMO is make for sure you have a big fuel pump. sorry I dont know about the timing control.
