hell that machine shop is closed down now but i was always doing the little stuff like that, i believe its what sets apart quality and just getting it done ya know? most shops either dont pat attention to bolt holes or they simply brush them, we tapped every hole in every head to make sure everything was right. of course we'd catch more partially damaged holes by really paying attention to stuff which equals more money for us by charging for heli-coils.

i'd always make sure the 45 deg cut on the seats was towards the ouside of the valve instead of the center too, opening things up a lil bit, and if the heads were old and had umbrella i would machine them down and put positive style seals on. (with the right tool, you can machine guides down with a common 3/8's drill and to do both heads it would take like 2 minutes

heres the tool, hell prolly worth buying, i could "rent" it to these people on here wanting to work their heads LOL

and this for spring seats...

did I say anything about milling the cobra heads???? no. I said you HAVE to mill the EXPLORER heads.

It would be wise of you to atleast take them to a machine shop for a cleaning/resurfacing/pressure check

maybe even a valve job.... maybe get the thermactor bumps smoothed out in the exhaust ports.... hell.. Might as well gasket match the heads... then do the same to your lower intake......

but I like doing extra work that makes HP..... I realize that not everyone is like me.
Hey Adder-probably tired of everyone asking you questions, but would e-7s being gasket matched (heads to lower intake) to gt-40 be very beneficial, cuz thats what the kid did to my car before i bought it-wether it was done good or not..........i dont know
