Default Engine build advice

i have mycar down and i'mthinking ofputting on trick flow upper and lower intake, stage 1 cam, twisted wedge heads 65mm throttle body and gonna have 73mm maf. so i figure since i'm this far and it has 130,000 miles i mite as well pull it and put a rebuild kit but can't decide if i need the one with forged pistonsor just a basic rebuild kit and i'm gonna bore it to a 306, now with all of that done will i need to get larger injectors i currently have the 19lb also with all these mods will the car still be as dependable as the stock 5.0 motor, its not a daily driver but i want it as dependable as one and what 1/4 times would you guess the car would run and rwhprating

Honestly, a rebuild may not be needed. Run a compression check to see how the internals of your engine are. There's no real reason to waste money rebuilding it now if the engine runs perfectly fine. Wait until it needs a rebuild.

But, if you still deem it necessary to rebuild it I'd go with forged internals (incase you decide to spray or boost). It'll be plenty reliable. You'd probably put down ~300 hp/tq to the wheels, depending. You can run anywhere from the mid-high 11s to high 12s depending on your cars setup and how well you can drive.

Rebuild kits generally come with new pistons, rings, bearings, and gaskets as the main things. If you want to spend money on the rebuild kit, having the block machined, and possibly assembled (if you don't do it yourself), go for it. But if your engine runs fine now leave it alone and postpone the rebuild until it needs it. It sounds like you only want to rebuild it for peace of mind.

I think you should have a 70mm T/B and 30lb injectors with that set up and then you should see about 300 rwhp.
