Sweet sound of success
Well, at 3:30am this morning she finally came back to life. This was the first attempt at starting it, timing was dead nuts and it fired right up. Good stuff. You can hear the ECU hunting for idle, it got pretty bad and eventually died...I'm going to raise idle 150rpm, that'll do it until the tune.

Yeah, gotta adjust fuel pressure today, we shut it down after that due to it being 3:30am. 40psi oughtta do. Out of curiosity, what is the sound difference when running lean? Or rich, for that matter?

if the car is running rich it will run rough... like sit there and sputter... if its lean, the ECM will try to add more fuel, make it too righ and it will go back and fourth, up and down in the rpm's like your car is doing.
have you reset the ECM yet?
try JUST removing the vac source from your FPR and see if your idle smooths out.

By reset I'm assuming you mean disconnect the neg. battery cable for 30 min, I've done that...gonna do it again when I get idle smoothed out so the computer can relearn everything. I'll try the vacuum disconnect and go from there. If it does smooth out after that, what's the next course of action? Just get the fuel pressure set?
