Default RE: map light fix?

Forgive me I am not trying to hijack a thread, but mine does not work. I do know why though. The wire that runs inside fo the (ground strap I suppose) is shorted. If I pull the light down it shorts and pops a fuse. I disconnected the light a few years ago, because I have no idea on how to fix the internal wire. I have yet to find a replacement light. Has anyone got any ideas? or do you know if a place like 50 resto has replacement map lights yet?
