You want a cheap block??? Expect it to crack... Do it right, put the money into it, sounds like you got some good stuff that will get destroyed if you don't... Kind of like the Macco thing, everbody wants a show quality paint job for $299 and then b!tch when they don't get it...

a 351w? or u could limit the boost u use from the paxton and just hum around 450 wheel, which will be plenty, and use the stock block fornothing. but thats jmo.

considering you can get a stock "cheap" long block for under a grand from the local auto parts stores, i would say you can get a very nice short block for 2k or less.

wouldnt a stock block handle his build? i would just make sure to use forged pistons and stronger crank/rods

a cheap block is a soon to be cracked block....

however 10 psi should add about 150hp... 15hp per psi.... and with that h/c/i id think u would be a lil over 325... so that would be under 500 hp... stock block should be good to go... if i were u i would be said form 7-8 pounds and put on meth injection and tune it to 450hp and ull be good to... just get used to feeling you methenal tank whenever u change you oil... a lotta ppl us there winsheild wiper resevoir for hte methenal and then used the methanel resivoir they give u as when shield wiper fuild holder... so that why u dont have to worry aobut running out... and if tuned rite it only gets used when your under boost... and with a centrifigal blow like the novi 2000 ull start boosting around 3grand... so if u easy on it daily driving will use very lil methanel at all.. you could probably go 3 months without feeling it up unless you hard on it a lot... but if you hard on it u would need to do more maintance on it newayz so ya... think about doin that... it owuld be a lil easier on the engine... what im doin... only im using a vortech... its cheaper and the blower can handle more hp than the block so no reason to spend like 3800 on the blower... unless u plan on upping hte boost to like 15-20 pounds... which the novi is good for... but ull need a nice dart block for that ****

Have you tried D.S.S in St. Charles, IL? They seem to offer alot of shortblocks and alot of NMRA racers use them.

I think that with the kompressor, you are in aftermarket block territtory. At least the new Ford 'BOSS' block.
I would also think about forged internals.
Good stuff with long life is not cheap..............
