Default bigger engine conversion?

I just bought a 95 V6 manual mustang... the engine has alot of km's on it (274,000). so my plan is to drive it until the engine quits on me. and while it's doing that i'm gonna work on the cosmetics of the car. So hard would would it be to put lets say a 5.0 engine in? there's no difference between the base models and GT's like under the hood wise? a 5.0 outta a GT should fit in no problem? what other things are different between base and GT models? it's pretty bare bones... manual windows, seats ect. the only power thing it really has is mirrors. is there any differences between the GT and base models body strenght or anything? i'm just kinda curious what you guys can tell me.
