I just dont get it. Maybe I have a bad step up that I havent realized yet and someone on here can point out. I have an 88 GT 306ci, FRPP Mass air conversion with a 70mm cobra Maf, Cobra intake, 75mm Accufab TB, GT-40p heads, FRPP 1.6 RR, F-303 cam, Holley AFPR,19lb injectors,shorty unequal headers, summit offroad h-pipe and cat back, Walbro 190lph fuel pump, 3.73 gears, UPR shifter, subframe connectors, A/C and Smog delete, 1in intake spacer, MSD cap and rotor, 14* timing, FRPP HI-PO ignition coiland with all this crap I got pulled on from a 40mph roll against my buddys STOCK 93 LX 5.0L. Last time I was at the track the best i managed was a 14.9 @ 100mph that was spinning 1st and 2nd. Is there something that im missing? Any suggestions? thanks

no im going to try and get a set of slicks before the season starts. but, I dont think that traction is the problem on the street. Yes I know that i need to learn how to drive at the trackbut, at a 40mph roll it doesnt spin.

with all those mods u ran a 14.9?

Yep, I think that there is something wrong with the setup. it pulls hard all the way 6000. even if I did hook think that i wouldnt even break in to 13s.

u ever had the car tuned? also suspension makes a big difference

no ive never had it tuned, i just adjust the fuel pressure and timing and do the seat of your pants tuning. the plugs look great so, I know that im not running to rich or too lean.

Drag radials, tune or suspension it should run better than that. Does it run smoothly? Maybe a head gasket is bad maybe the fuel filter is badly clogged that would do it, distributor may be going out, with those mods you should be in the 13s easy. Spinning the tires like you are would make for bad 1/4 times, but that dont explain the 40mph part. This wont be your problem, but the cobra mass air is for 24lb injectors, you have 19lb. How long has it been since the feul filter was changed?
