Default Water Pump -5.0

I'vereplaced several 5.0 water pumps with no problems. But this time it's on my friend'snewEngine - a DSS306, new Ford Timing Chain Cover, and anew Ford Water Pump, and it leaks after trying to seal it up 3 times. whata pain. Could the Timing Chain cover be warped? Could the water pump be warped? The water is coming out of the right side, under thepump (not the weep hole). I was wondering to if the 2 bolts that hold the metal plate to the pump might be pushing against the timing chain cover and keeping it from sealing.

I just can't believe it.

We are spreading a thin layer of Permatex Ultra Black gasket sealer on NEW Felpro gaskets. What do I do?

The old timing chain cover and water pump do not leak. In the past I used just the permatex and no gasket and never had a leak.

garrrrr!

Thick layer very thick layer of the permatex. You could always try that. It wont hurt nothin.
