you CAN flood an EFI car... it takes skill to do it.

the pump running continuously will NOT affect the starting or driveability of the car.. you have a different problem

any idea on what it is? I try to start it and it just makes this weird sound a few times. The only way i can describe it is like the vehicle is flooded.

if you think its flooding... try starting it in flood clear mode

Ok tried it( fully depressing the pedal while trying to start right?) Same thing happened. No start. I am going to check for spark and check my coil cause im running out of ideas. Ill keep everyone up to date. Thanks for all of the help so far.

If your pump keeps running its either shorted or you don't have pressure. If you don't have pressure more then likely the rubber hose that come out of the pump to the fuel line ripped. I see it happen all the time on many different cars and trucks. Your going to have to get a fuel pressure tester and check at the shreder valve for pressure and check right before the fuel filter.

when i turn the key on and let the pump run, I depressed the schrader valve and fuel shot out soi am pretty sure i have fuel pressure. I think im just going to go back to basics and check everything in the ignition systemm starting with spark.

My fuel pump used to do the same thing on my 88 GT. Never had any problems w/ it though.

Whatever it is its making my car not run at all. Who knows at this point.
