It's not his parents car, and actually his car has more in it. It has the GMPP stage 2 kit which is a slightly smaller pulley and computer reflash. I believe they could still run low 14's stock though with a good driver.

Only the SS coupes are supercharged, the 4 door SSs are not.

ya, it is supercharged, i know that for sure. And its fairly quick. I rode in it shortly after i had my stang, it felt like it had more top speed power then mine, like pulled harder over 100 then mine, but were only going to go from 0 to 80 so i think i should be fine if i have gears. Its not actually a 1/4mile run its just a 0 to 80 run.

don't the cobalt ss car run with new edges stock for stock and don't new edge cars beat 5.0's stock for stock. so if you think about it it could beat you. hope that makes sense

that makes perfect sense to me man. What would you recommend i have to insure a win. Theres gotta be something i can do without nos or a charger to beat one of these.

4.10 gears, cai, underdrive pullies, good tires, upper and lower control arms, subframe connectors, that should give me a lil more power and what i do have to the ground, will this be enough or should i be looking into getting heads before the race?

i really wanted to do my head/cam/intake/rebuild all at the same time and just throw a few grand into the car, but if i need to do it to beat the other car, then so be it i guess.

and considering im an auto it would probably be a good idea to get a nice stall and torque converter aye?
