or just start with a set of 351 heads from the 80s. they already have those valves just need a good bit of PP work along with a little milling

the reason i am asking is that . heads are high...i am hoping i can find some good one but if not i will port them...i am pretty good..i have done probaly 10 sets of chevy and fords with good results..i figure i will have 1.94 and 1.60 put in them and new seat for under 250.00 around here..
The 1.94/1.60 valves came on the '69-70 351w heads. All years after that had the 1.78/1.45 valves.
I have ported '74 351w heads and had 1.94/1.60 valves installed.

Oh..I'm sorry, your are right. The 80's had the 1.84/1.50 valves.
It was the 69-70 heads that had original 1.94/1.60
Sorry about the confusion.
