eeek. you should be able to determain if it will even fit with it being blocked by bar. if its just blocking you from the install why dont you just remove it for now?

Not sure, be patient, there will be someone chime in soon. If the steering linkage is in contact after the install, you will need to replace your engine mounts, not a big deal.

Thanks Two tone... i called BBK and they said that:
1) move the dash over....unbolt 4 bolt and just move the dash over.
2) I need new motor mounts... it is 19 year old car afterall...
this is gonna be a nightmare...

I like that hood.. it is the Mach III?

I would go for the motor mount idea. Its never a bad thing to replace them anyway. Especially if they are the originals.

Yes, its theMach 3.Replacing themounts are not too bad. Just unbolt and jack up the engine far enough toclear the mounts. Swap them and lower the engine back on the mounts. Just DO NOT use the oil pan to lift the engine!

Had the same problem, I replaced the steering shaft and it still rubbed a little.( flaming river)Then I installed new motor mounts, that took care of it.

Don't do that!!

I had the same problem. If replacing your mounts doesn't solve it, jack up the left side of the motor and shim the mount w/ some washers. That's what I did, problem solved.

if it's hitting then the two old guy's are right...i had broken pads, and couldn't get my shorties on....now i have long tubes which resulted in removing the shaft so it can go through the headers...fun fun.
