so a stock t-5 is as much as a tko or t-56??? thats news to me... a stock t-5 with a good driver can hit consistant 10's and be reliable enough for DD
ORIGINAL: greenstreak9205

well im prolly gonna go with one of those since they are pretty strong transmissions. yes i kno you can build a t-5 real strong but then your approaching the prices theses trans and its still a t-5.
that was my point
ok i no u no that i no that u no that ... i was tellin him, lol.

o my bad. i kno that a stock t-5 is no where near one of the others in pricing. i meant one that was prepped by astroperformance or somthin. they're still cheaper yea but i didnt mean stock for stock. i was trying to compare them they were on the same playing field. my bad for not being clear[&:]

just cuz of the price of the tko compared to a t5, when well i no u dont agree, but i feel a t5 is adequite for 98% of the forum members. so if it was a choice, id go w. a 6 speed over a 5 speed, and if i were gonna go 5 speed, like i did, id be happy w. a t5

and i never said anything bad about a tko... i just wouldnt buy one

i know what u ment and i said that a stock t-5 with a good drivr will be fine for a constant 10 sec. runs... yes the tko is more tolerable to drivers that aren't quite as good and stronger..... the "stronger" T-5's gears are actualy more prone to cracking and shatering

i should get my teacher to hold a driving leason for all the mustang drivers on here, if he can get a t-5 to run 10's all day long theres no reason 99% of the people on here can't get them to run 12's reliably

Depends on what you want the tranny for. For drag racing, tko, because it has a shorter first gear for a better launch. For showing off that you have a 6 speed, the t56. The t56 lives very well in the cobra's that are pushing close to 500rwhp and they are about 500 lbs heavier than a fox body. So, you do the math.

But then again, the t56 has a tall first gear, not as easy to launch in
