got an 87 notch and the previous owner told me that he had the lower intake ported and not the top so what do i do now do i get to top one ported could i put and aftermarket upper intake with the stock lower help im stuck

Yeah you need to invest in a dremel if you want to port the top out yourself. Not very hard just takes time. You can put an aftermarket intake on the stock bottom if you want to. Might as well just kit aftermarket upper and lower in my opinon though.
