Default Finished Rebuild & Gave Her A Bath

I just finished rebuilding my engine last weekend. Runs great, doesn't smoke at all, no more fouling plugs. I determined Ihad a broken oil ring which is what caused the need for thisproject, and sure enough when I pulled it apart there was a broken oil ring. I was getting about 160 miles to the tank and having to put 1-2 quarts of oil in every fill up and also having to replace the #2 spark plug after every other fill up because of it. Here are some highlight pics from start to finish and then some pics of her all cleaned up and ready for cruising the day after she was done Sorry I know this is going to be a long post of pics.

The broken oil ring....

This is what the broken oil ring was doing to my #2 plug

First picture before I started taking her apart

Engine pulled

Engine bay after engine pulled

Block tore down

Block cleaned and ready for reassembly

Rotating assembly & camshaft installed

Heads and valvetrain installed

Timing cover installed

Ready for oil pan

Lower intake installed

Engine bay cleaned and ready for engine

I know, I know, the shifter is a skyscraper! But hey, everything is stock except for exhaust & CAI

Thanks for looking. Let me know what you think.

Specs:

I started January 1st. Finished March 16th. I worked on it pretty much every weekend except for one or two. not really at all during the week. Was just kinda going at my own pace. Wasn't in a hurry at all.

haven't added up receipts yet but it was in the neighborhood of 850 - 900 for all new gaskets, sensors, rings, bearings, fluids, etc.

I did everything myself. The only thing I've ever had done in the past at a shop was have my bare block hot tanked and new cam bearings installed. I can't afford to have someone else work on my stuff, not only that but I don't trust anyone else to work on my cars anyways :P
