Default fuel injection or carb!!??

alright if it was up to yall on having a stroked 302 or 351(doesnt matter) would you go fuel injected and spending the money upgrades w/ injectors, fuelrails, ecu, etc and have the advantage of being able to properly tuning and finding more horses. Or go carb and spend a little less money but fighting to to get it tuned right to reach the same potential if not better than a fuely????

Carb im im doing that myself. just waiting on the dist. Its cheaper but you dont get the effenicy of efi. Plus with cam/heads/ehaust you dont have to match maf's get tb's. You will get more bank for the buck out of a carb. But waste alot of gas lol.

Edit: plus whats so hard with turning screws to adjust your air/fuel. Get a o2 with a real gage to get proper readings . Also for timeing i think a light is as basic as it gets lol.

ha for some reason when it gets humid or starts raining my car would run a little smoother, it freaking messed with my mind. as for the choice i love my carb it just scream old school muscle. adder you can bust on us all you want but i think it looks a hell of a lot cleaner than having a huge harness running all over the place and its deff more bang for your buck.

I agree with the post above. Lets say carb are for the winey people that dontkeep up with the time ok cool. But nascar witch is the biggest motor sport runs carbs. umm drags running what 3-4-5 secs run carbs hmm. depends of what you wanna do. If you wan a daily driver yess efi, If you want a race car then carb. Adder seems almost like a damn import people saying that. Didnt you know our v8's were founded off carbs. they have been around 80's years efi is what the last 20 mabey 30 that they were used regurly. Come on now its all what you wanna do with your car. Thats it. They both have ups. They both have downs. End of story.

IMO any powerhouse motor should be carb'd - unless your going with some tricked out aftermarket FI..... but hell i sold my $1500.00 holley stand-alone FI setup and bought a barry grant speed demon if that tells you anything
