I own a 92 5.0 h.o bird my tires are shot to all hell... right now i have the stock 215/70R15 i want to keep the stock rims but go with the widest possible tire with out having safety issues. Can i put 235/65 15s on it with out having any issues? Can i possibly go wider?? Any advice is greatly appreciated, im looking forward to ordering new tires online tonight... thanks alot all

general rule of thumb....to find the height of a tire..use this formula...
width(first number...235ex) divided by 25.4..times ratio(middle number...65ex) times (2) plus the rim size will give you the height of the tire....
i would go with 255/60R15's on the back for sure..might rub in the front though

would 255s be safe on only a 6.5 inch rim? I have the stock 92 bird wheels.

i've installed 275's on a 7" wheel....i don't see why it wouln't work

the only issue i can see is wearing the center of the tire a little quicker than the edges
