Default Long Block 302

Will a long block 302 fit in a 1988 Mustang GT. Will the motor mounts line up with the stock location. Also how much of a bore would you go with a long block running 10 pounds of boost.

A 302 is a 302, it's not going to make a difference in size if you get a bare block, short block, long block, etc. I would just go .030 over and play it safe.

LOL. Long block just means it includes heads, cam, and sometimes a few other things. Short block is just the block and internals. I wouldn't bore it over more than .030 over. Also, get a shortblock instead and find a pair of GT40 or P heads. No reason to get a new set of stockers (if that was the plan) b/c they still suck.

A short block is just the block with the internals in it. A longblock basically a shortblock with heads and an oil pan (not positive on the oil pan but the heads Im 100% positive about). Its not actually a diffrent block, just depending on what comes with it gets the name. And do a .30 bore... no reason to bore any more than that... you dont bore for power. You bore when you do a rebuild.

And a bare block is just a block with no internals (no pistons, crank, etc.)
