Thanks for all the info guys. I may just get a rebuild through a guy I work with or go with a T-56. Does anyone know what all is needed to do that inplace of a stock T-5?
Does anyone know who may have one and would be willing to do a partial trade?

You know, I didn't even realize that opening day was coming up! I'm still in winter mode, lol. I need to get my headers on there and get a dyno tune complete with the new HCI, but I should be able to make it by then if I get off my *** this weekend and get it done.

I've been lazy because I just got back from a 12 day western caribbean cruise yesterday. Nothing but 12 days of drinking, swimming, SCUBA diving, and relaxing. No car, no phone, no internet! So I'm not really in work mode yet. But I want to get some stuff done this weekend...maybe the header swap.

Of course, I woke up this AM with a massive headache and sore throat...think I got a cold when i got back But I should be able to fight through it and get my **** down there for opening night in Epping.

yea the blocker ring is PART of the syncro, and yes it has a line that goes out with normal driving and slightly faster when abused.... but the liner only help the syncro to no ware as fast, not having the linerWON'T make is not mesh

Please explain this a little more to me.I've had three blocker rings lose the liner on them over the years. The first time I had a shop rebuild the tranny, the other two I did. Had the same "grinding" symptoms as described by the original post. When I took them apart the liner was gone on the blocker ring. I was always told the liner is what helped speed up/slow down everything so that the syncrhos meshed properly. If it won't make it not mesh without the liner, then why have the liner at all?? Thanks in advance for the info!
