I have a 89 Mustang LX wtih 155000m, Have now 5 W 30 Mobil 1 in Motor is that OK?
what kind of Transmission fluid you can recommend I know its have to Mercon 5! When I shift from the 2th to 3th in higher Rpm Its grind sometime so I have to double clutch!! Its now Valvoline in it.

10w30 is stock, is that Mobil 1 synthetic? You will want a synthetic oil at that mileage. Sounds like you have a T5, MERCON ATF is the stuff you want for your trans.

Yes it is Syntethic. So would be better to change to 10 W30? What brand do you recommend for tranny? Cause since the Valvoline is in it, I have the Problem!

isnt stock 5w30?, tranny takes atf mercon 3. I use plain old 10w40 and have syncromesh in my trans.

did you just start using synthetic since you bought the car? or has it always had it? royal purple makes good fluids

Yes It was the first oil change!

you should have stayed with regular oil, or a high milage one
