i need electrical help please 88 gt
i bought a project car someone tore all apart now i have got the engine mostly back together and it wont start. no fuel pressure if i shoot ether in it it fires up. but the fuel pump isnt running theres no power to it i believe. i checked the pink wire with black strip and no power to it i also checked it at the relay under the seat and it dont have power there either. so what do i check next? and what relay is on the passenger side fender by the airbox it has a burnt wire going to it? any help would be appreciated. its an 88 5.0 5 speed car

the one by the fender is the wot relay...you are very close..i would follow that pink/blk wire till you find power...fuel pump might not be grounded or a wire isn't grounded somewhere.

If the hot wire to the WOT cutout relay is burnt, you likely popped the fuse that powers the PCM and the control side of the fuel pump relay. Does your CEL go out when cranking? Does it even come on? You may not even have injector pulse once you get the pump running. The PCM not only needs to be powered up (obviously) but it needs to get the PIP signal from your ignition module. The ignition and fuel systems are completely seperate and if it starts on ether - you know that the module is getting PIP. You fuel pump may only be part of the problem.

i followed it to the black connector in the engine bay by the brake resivoir but then it ends theres 8 wires going in but only 4 on the other side. and what does that wot relay do i dont have ac? isnt thats what shuts the ac off when you put it under wot? could this be whats wrong the relay burnt up with the wires? the black connector then runs into the main harness behind the engine.
