Ported intake?

What exactly does it mean 2 have a ported intake and how do u do it?. Also, how many vaccum lines are there on a 91 5.0? THanx![8D]

porting an intake takes out all the ruff spots on the intake thus gaining more power

you take it to a machine shop that also works on cars, and tell them you want them to port it lol

It also involves metal im some areas that will help it flow better.

theres videos and books u can get that shows u how to do it. the main tool used wood be a dremel. as for vacume lines, theres one goin to the fpr, one in the front where that runs threw where the distributer is, theres one that runs to the back of the lower intake and theres 2 of them coming off of the firewall
