I say if he's wants a new engine go with a 351W...but if he wants to stay with a small block...a 331 with a supercharger and some slicks will put him in 11's pretty easy. Dont know how long he'll stay there with out breaking anything though.

351W is a small block ford engine.

i would not suggest it for long time use though. The 351W does not seem to hold up as well as the 302. As far as i have seen i would rather build up a 302. Maybe even bore it out and build the baby up and some bolt ons and Twin Turbos.

The first Picture is of the Twin Turbo Kit (1,000-1,900 Hp) Depending on what turbos you want.

And then the second one is a Single Turbo set up. Which is around almost 400 Hp and 490+ Torque.

Website if you need it.

http://www.turbo-kits.com/mustang_turbo_kits.html

They are not about 20min away from me.

There are tons of ways you can be fast, but the major way is money. If you have money then have fun and you are going to have some fast *** car. But i am a big fan of Twin Turbos so i would say get a Crate 302. Have fun with it and put on some bolt ons and if it does not already have any cam and heads then put in an upgraded cam and heads and you are lookin at some good numbers. All what you have for money and style is what will change the outcome. But have fun with what you choose.

Nick

How much does he want to spend? Some ways are cheaper than others.

88GT, don't get the impression that you will get 1,000-1900hp with just bolting that on. That will take some serious engine building to get that ammount of hp.

i know it says it right on the site for that kit. I mean that is just not a car anymore that is more of an aircraft. haha but they are here in my area so when i have the money i am pretty sure i am going to have them do a twin turbo kit on mine. (not as radical as those though). idk you can do alot with money. So how are the Mustangs in IL Issac?

If you can find one i would get a 351 cleveland those are bad ***! but good luck gettin your hands on one. but i suppose if you got the dough you could get it. however they do make some nice 347 strokers now that dont have the oil problems like they used to, and the 331 is also a pretty good way to go. your friend would have to decide if he wants it to be a street driven ride or a show pony, or a drag car...
