Default Well, I am officially converted...

Well, I gave my car a good run down and all seems well. I converted to MAF using a 70mm MAF from a 94/95 mustang, a computer from a 90 mustang, and I made my own harness for the swap. All together with the various connectors, wires, VSS, computer, and MAF I had $170 into it.

I also got to run my car with my newly ported upper and lower intake, new AFPR, and 70mm TB. After a few days of messing with things and not having much luck on getting it to perform right(It was popping in the intake, and a little sluggish at times) I took off the 70mm TB and put the stock one back on and it seemed to help. So today I bumped my fuel pressure up to around 42lbs and it was just about perfect. I still want to try and run my new TB, but it might be too big. I might be on the look out for a 65mm if someone wants to trade?(BBK 70mm is what I have)

I also got to run my new adjustable lower control arms...boy, those are nice. No wheel hop to speak of and it just seems solid back there.

I also got to hear my new BBK X pipe in action. I don't know if I am really that big of a fan yet...I kind of miss my H pipe. It was louder with the H pipe on and was a little deeper in tone, but the X gives it a good rumble, so the jury is still out ion that one.

I think that is about it for the new mods this year..soon to come are some MT DR's and some new track times..hoping to see low 13's. I am also taking it to the dyno to get some horse power runs, maybe take some time to tune it, but I have to do it myself. The dyno near me only works on carbed cars.

That is what I thought...maybe I was just a little lean, so when I switched over to the stock TB, it helped that. Maybe I will switch back and try it again.

I have noticed I don't hardly get any smoke from my car any more after the swap...before it I would blow smoke a lot(black)

sounds like an inproperly set TPS...TB size will have not affect on A/F or general performance wether it be a 65 or 75mm...likely something was off causing the smoke show.

The TPSwas set right, I think I wasn't running enought PSI of fuel.

The black smoke is what I was getting before I converted to MAF, not when I swapped the TB's. All better now
