Default Truck/trailer question.....

Anyone on here using an enclosed trailer say about 22-24' to haul the 5.0 in?
What are you using for a tow truck?
Thinking of getting a new truck and a new trailer.....
I need to know from users, not armchair racers..........

f-250 would be my choice..however you could do it with a 150 w/5.4maybe with the 7700 package that has the bigger brakes

I know my old expedition with the 5.4 would haul a 24' boat with no problems.

A 150 extended cab with the 5.4 is sort of what I had figured out.
My '84 is 2700#, the stuff that would go into the trailer is maybe 450# more. Seems these trailers are about 3000# empty so i end up with around 6200#.
Mostly pretty flat out here in this part of the country too.

More opinions anyone?

you need bigger brakes or some slotted rotors and carbon brakes..the 7700 series if they still make'em have some big *** brakes on themnow if you trailer have brakes than all these is moot

Oh yes, trailer will have brakes.
I've been using the open trailer thatI have for 23 years now and the brakes have saved me more than once.......
