Default 87 tranny

What kind of tranny does my 87 5.0 5 speed have. What would cause a grinding when shifting from first to second but only under hard acceleration/ burnouts?

My 87 Trans does the saem thing. It is perfectly normal when cruising, but always grinds on the 1-2 up shift under hard acceleration.

and seriously guys is it that hard to use the search feature and read a few other tranny threads and commare they're problem to yours???grinding means bad clutch/misadjusted or a bad syncro depending on the situation, it's not rocket science it's just a transmission
