Default Stop a leak!!!!!!!

I have a rear main oil leak, i was wondering if any one has used the stuff from any auto parts store, that is supposed to stop your oil leak. My grandpa thought that it prolly has some type of chemical that moistens the seals and then they expand. Has any one has any experience or heard anything about it???? Thanks Brad

that stop leak stuff is only a short term remedy, you really need to get the seal replaced IF is is leaking. lots of other leaks can look like a rear main seal leak, so be damn sure that's what's leaking before you replace it.
