To who ever was bitching that "at least it doesn't have a import 6 or 6 cylinder in it" a twin turbo straight six out of a skyline or supra in anything it wasn't born in would kick ***. Especialy a stang. A fox with a turbo'd 2.0l out of a Honda S200 could push 400hp easy. that would be a nice touch. or a viper v10....

Yea you could do it,but why?I mean I understand if the car and engine were free or you were swapping in a different year mustang engine like a 4.6dohc..but why would you want a mustang with anything other than a ford engine. If you wanted a 400hp s2000 why not just get one..the engines what makes the car the car..ya know?

There are no manuals available on how to do this type of mod. It has been done before but rarely enough that there are not a lot of resources available. I'm not doing it for the money or even the engine power (or lack of). Look back through my previous posts in this and other threads and you will see that the car isn't even worth 1 grand...the engine is worth even less. I happened to luck out on the 4 bolt mains...thats about it though....the rest is just for fun...

I wasnt really directingmy postat you..I know you got the stuff cheap and are doing it for fun. My post was in reference to putting a 2 liter honda engine into a fox.Regardless of the horsepower its still wrong.just my .2 cents

RE: Finally bolted In!!!
has anyone actually put a honda engine in a stang?..i too think that would be a bit over the edge....it wouln't be cool to do that...unless of course you added one of those demon or concept x body kits...then the honda engine would feel right at home.

RE: Finally bolted In!!!
My last order jsut arived from Jeg's...Now I am positive I have enough parts to complete this project...Had to get a 15 inch fan as a 16 was just a bit too high. The Chev 350 might be shorter than a 302 but it is a bit taller..or at least the water pump sits a bit higher.
I got a Lokar adjustable shift linkage kit to mate the Ford automatic tranny shifter to the TH350 tranny. The shift pattern is the same so the adjustable linkage will make it line up nice...
I also got a 360 degree swivel thermostat housing so i can reroute the top rad hose in the opposite direction of a typical Chev. I got the tranny cooler, cooler lines and all the needed fitings...

My brother did the same thing. He bought the K member made to put a Chevy motor in it. We fabbed up new rack and pinion brackets to use a Mustang II one. It's about $100 cheaper than one for a Fox. Headers for a 69' Camaro almost fit perfectly, we had to cut one tube on the drivers side to make it work. We couldn't get his crossmember to bolt up to the 350 turbo, we had to make one.His 350 is little more peppy, he's got 12.5:1 compression, good heads, and a big solid lifter cam. On a 125 hit he runs high 6s in the eighth.

RE: Finally bolted In!!!
I was pondering using a conversion K-Member, but didn't want to spend the money in case the project didn't work out. I decided instead to use the chevy S-10 V6 to V8 adapter engine mounts...cost was only 60 bucks.
Seing as this project appears like it will actually be completed...i migh put in the chevy/mustang k-member if i rebuild the car.
