RE: Converting from the import scene...
[align=left]Well I picked it up tonight. Runs pretty good, it needs a few odds and ends here and there. Only thing really concerning me is an oil leak coming from the passenger side cylinder bank. Any ideas? Oh, I also try and get some pics of it up soon.

Here are a couple pics. I put the car up in the air tonight and found the source of the oil leak, the damned oil pan gasket looks like it's blowing out the sides, mainly on the passenger side of the motor. I'm glad that's all it is, should be an easy fix. The car is pretty much bone stock with the exception of an aftermarket deck. Looks like a pretty solid car to start getting the projects going on. Another thing, this thing needs suspension in a bad way. The shocks/struts on all four corners are blown out. Thinking about tossing some bilstein hd's or sports on in the next month. Maybe a coilover set?

Clean car, if you are gonna do some suspension i would recommend maybe the strange 10 ways. They are adjustable to want to want to do with it(drag, corner, etc...) Congrats on the purchase, its rare to find a completely stock 5.0's

nice find, mine was bare stock when i bought it a year ago too. Funny thing is i had a bad oil pan too but it was a simple swap. Start by taking out your air silencer and getting a KN, after that the sky is the limit!

How much money are you willing to spend? What are your plans with the car? I hate to say it but the oil pan gasket really isnt an "easy fix", its not brutally hard but it takes some time. You can get an aftermarket tubular suspension w/ a coil over kit (tubular k member, tubular a arms and front coil over kit). While you are doing that you can swap the pan gasket in like 5 mintues while your at it. Looks 10x's cleaner, tons more headers clearance, pan clearance, shave off tons of weight and you will get your coil overs! Like I said though, it all depends on how far you want to take it. You can build up a 1K suspension or a 5K suspension, you choose.
