i give up... just goin to pull the engine
ok i am doin a h/c/i and i was hoping i wouldnt have to pull the engine but that aint happening... so what do i need to do now to pull the engine... the whole top end is off... along with everything on the from off hte engine.... so whats left??? unbolting the tranny and motor mounts??? im goin to buy a engine puller today and a stand.... total it is goin to cost 200 bucks... does that sound reasonable for a two ton lift and stand

The price sounds about right, but I don't see how you should need to pull the motor for a hci swap.
What are you having trouble with?
Most folks (including myself) seem to pull the trans with the motor.
Another tool that will make pulling the motor easier, especially if you are working alone, is a 'load leveler'
It will allow you to tilt the motor front to back, which makes things much easier.

no... i dont think so.. unless i have too... i thot u could just unbolt the engine from the tranny

well if your pulling your motor, now is a good time to do a new clutch if you need it, or a new torque converter if your an auto guy

i got a new tranny and clutch only 8k miles ago... there both good to go
