So I need some advice..
Whatsup everyone? Im new to the forums..
So heres the thing, im looking to buy a 5.0 stang.. I dont want to get anything older then 1990. This is going to be my first car (im 18) and I was just wondering how's the maintenance on these things? Pricy? Dirt cheap? I've seen a couple of stock ones in my area ranging from $2500-5000 CAD. Are those prices reasonable? Im not planning on doing much to it motor-wise, unless it absoloutely needs it to run. Any advice would be helpful.. thanks.
Peace.

I have a 90, and with any 17 year old car , you will have maintenance issues. The best idea, as with any Mustang, find one that has not been beaten to death, and you will a have trouble free vehicle for the most part. Parts are relatively cheap compared to other vehicles, and they are a blast to drive. If you dont plan on modding the engine, but you will anyway, other parts can be had for reasonable prices when the fail or need to be replaced. Good luck!

Prices are about right, actually seen them start to come up
on the cleaner ones lately.
Engines are good for 200,000+ miles ( tons of people running superchargers on 150k mile engines )
Maitenance is easy and cheap if you dont mind getting
your hands dirty.
Heater cores are notorious for leaking. $50 part, but dash
has to come out to get to it.
Tons of cheap mods, some even free. nice fun cars.

They suck in the winter man and I can see you live in Toronto. If it's going to be your only car make sure you get some really good winter tires and hope for the best.
