RPM stay up
Hey guys I just finished cleaning my IAC and adjusting my TPS. There is still a problem when the clutch is depressed and let off the gas the rpms stay up for a few seconds before they drop. Normally in any other car I have been in, when you let off the gas the rpms come down immediately. So if someone could tell me what I could do that would be greatly appreciated. I could only get the tps to 0.97 but I don't think that is an issue. Thanks

propane does work.. but you better hope to god that you dont have any arching plug wires or anything like that or you will blow yourself up. i just use carb cleaner.. little messier but it always worked for me.. same thing with starting fluid.

OK, just b/c you cleaned the iac doesn't mean it's functioning properly. Something to keep in mind. How long does the idle hang? If it's a very short time, second or 2, it's normal. The ecm has to have time to react and adjust the iac.
