Upgrades?

RE: Upgrades?
gears and tires will get the most noticible diff, bumping to 4.10's can knock off 1 full secend, thats like adding 100 horsepower
your existing gears can be decoded like this, on the doortag, under "ax" it will have m=2.73, z=3.08 or e=3.27
is it aod or 5-speed? if aod only go 4.10's no 3.73
or nitrous is great, and also cheap
other mods are not worth doing til you have a full package, like an intake swap does nothing w/ out heads as well, heads are the biggest bottleneck in the motor.
there is also free stuff, make sure your tps voltage is about .990 w/ the key on, but engine not running, you'll need a digital voltmeter.
also a k&n filter, dump off the air sliencer if it happens to still have one, it's mounted behind the air filter cover , you'll know it when you see it.
check to make sure the throttle body is opening all the way when your foot is matted, not using your hand under it.
adjust your timing to 12* (start using 89 and when it's hot use 92 or better)
thats a start, good luck, congrats and welcome
