a 1980 tbird with a 302 would also say eose- something. i dont see any obvious way to tell but would some one swap in a 255 tbird motor from 80 into the same year mustang?? thats why im like wtf???!!! but the intake looks kinda small so i think its prolly a 255

actually, the 302 would have a totally different part number

the E0SE would denote that 1980 was when the cast for the blocks was made.... not technically when the block itself was made

hence E7TE heads STOCK on a 95 GT

I've seen in the valley of 255's it will say 4.2. Also the 255 won't have a 4in bore.

the block codes confuse me cus according to this site http://home.comcast.net/~cobrasite4/ford_engine_numbers.HTM
the first part means specific stuff so it means EOSE is a 80 tbird and that EOZE would be a 80 mustang
