Default acting funny!

today i was driving the car and all of a sudden it got real weak! droppped idle about 150 - 200 rpm and just had hardly any power at all. turned it off for a minute or two and it was fine. any ideas?

nope. it actually runs cooler than it should i think. i belive somebody put 160 degree thermostat in it before i got it. but still no overheating

You should put the regular thermostat back in it. The fuel injection computer requires it to be at a certain temperature to run correctly.

ok i got a 180 degree thats what my chip company told me to run in it, but im about to do a motor swap in the next couple of months, should i even bother?

ok does it sound like i need a new motor when it pops the dipstick tube out and goes through about 2 quarts every three weeks?

I would look atyour PCV system. Poping the dipstick means you are having too much crankcase pressure, maybe you got a clog or you are sucking oil up from the lifter valley, do you have stock intake on there?

u got some serious blow by issues. i had the same problems with my old stroker. i took the oil cap apart and dilled a few holes in it and it was able to ventilate properly.
