question bout aod trany
 

have aod out of 93 cougar and i jus wonder how good those tranny's are had a guy tell me once id loose like 50 horse changing over to auto but i dont see how that is but i dont know. i have 5 speed in car now and happy with it but im jus keeping auto for spare but would sell it or trade it for a 5 speed if anyone be interested . i live in ohio

tranny has no effect on horsepower from the motor.

thats what i thought he said it would be slower and everything which might kindabe true cause ways trannys are geared but 5 speeds are jus fun to play with lol but expensive

tell me bout it i just pulled mty tranny today to replace clutch and fly wheeel

dont know much bout it i know its good tranny got car off friend and he wrecked it and @ss end is smashed but drove car to my house and shifted fine and everything if wonder no it dont have shift kit or anything jus stock 1 with like 120,000 miles i think something like that

an auto tranny causes you to loose a little bit more hp then a stick would. the aod is heavier then the t5 as well.
