air silencer
there is a screen located in front of the MAF on my car. Ive heard you can get a slight increase in power by removing it. Was wondering if this was true. I have also been told it reduces the turbulence in the engine and if removed it will cause erratic readings and make it run worse.

the screen is there to keep trash from damaging the maf sensor wire mine is removed no problem the air silincer is not the screen its the box on the outside of the inner fender

i have the screen off of my maf on my daily driven v6 with a mac cold air intake and there is no problems with it, im sure its the same case for 99.99% of the cars with it out also, just be sure your airfilter is sealed on there good.
