Default Shifter

Hey guys got a minor problem with my shifter (manual car) Sometimes the gear doesn't want to go into the proper place. The clutch is all the way down and I have to put it into neutral and move it back and forth and then it goes it. So what I am thinking is that it may need to be adjusted. It almost feels as if I have to force it into gear, not just slide in nicely. Does anyone know of a site that can tell me how to adjust it.

Im pretty sure the shifter is stock btw. My rpms are still being a pain when I shift. Its never smooth how it should be[:@]

Thanks

sounds more like a tranny problem.... possibly a worn shift fork

if you have the stock quadrant to adjust it put your toes under the clutch peddle and pull it up you will feel it click. then push it to the floor do it like 4-5 times see if that does anything

clutch could be out of adjustment. get an adjustable cable with firewall adjuster. it could also be your tranny. Almost all t-5's are abused, probably by previous owners.

yes might not be disengaging all the way, try to adjust like stated above, lift the pedal. if it helps, get an adj right away, the stock junk breaks and will toast a clutch disc quick

could be worn synchro's too

well I mean most of the time it is fine. Its just sometimes it just doesn't want to get into gear...then I put it into neutral move it back and forth and its good...so i dunno...maybe im just a new manual driver

im in no mood to ans. trans. threads tonight, lol. do u have aim?if so im me... disturbed26888... my initial thought is ur clutch is outa adjustment... if its stock, usually the way said above doesnt work u have to do it urself... i can explain the other way if needed.

when u put it in gear and arent moving... do ur rpms drop slightly?
